Wow! Where did April go? The MONTH of April that is, not my friend, April. Haha! Although I know it wasn't a complete waste of a month, we did do some things and we did complete some projects!April brought Easter. This year the kids all had other plans with their other families and so did most of my friend's kids - so we decided to all get together up in Oroville at my friend's for dinner. We all brought food - so there was MORE than enough!
Mike took the new tent with us and decided to use the afternoon to put it up and make sure all the parts were there, it worked like he thought, blah, blah, blah. Others took the afternoon to ride the ATV's while others of us went down to the Lott House to take pictures of the Spring flowers. We were there in the fall and there was such a different array of flowers pres
ent this time around - lots of Azalea's. The roses are always my favorite - love the pink ones! Other April events included finishing the remodeling of our bathroom. What we hoped to have been a 30 day project ended up being more like a 60 day project (delays with tile; wrong items received, broken fixtures, etc.) But it looks real nice now that it's done. We removed all the old wallpaper (yes, wallpaper ! Ick! it was there when we bought it) and had the walls textured and painted. We removed the old double sink counter/cabinet and replaced it with double pedastal sinks once the old linoleum was removed and the new tile was laid. With some new artwork on the walls, new accessories to match the new colors - whalah! New bathroom! Now next comes new flooring through out the house!
