DECEMBER MARKS A FIRST FOR MOI!

With time off at a premium we finally were able to take some time off to go down to San Diego to visit my middle son and his family. What could be better - nice warm weather in the middle of winter, eh?

For several years I've been talking about getting a tattoo. I've spent many hours trying figure out what I wanted and just couldn't ever make a decision. Well, while we were in San Diego my daughter-in-law said "let's go get you your tattoo" and away we went. I chose a Tiger Lily in part to match the one my DIL had (along with her mom and sisters) but also because I thought it was pretty and 'fitting' - it just seemed to go with "me". For years my nick-name has been 'alikatt' and I like cheetah prints and own a cat and well, "Tiger" lily just seem to fit the theme. Not to mention that in the language of flowers "lillies" mean "I'm walking on air" and since I was getting my tattoo on my foot - well, just seemed to again, "fit".

The "mystery" is finally over - it doesn't hurt at all! The continual "etching" - so to speak- of the needle is really more annoying than anything. As soon as it was finished I said "Ok, I'm ready for another one". The guy that did mine was excellent. I had Gina chronical the whole thing via photos. I really like my tattoo! Well, I guess I'd better, huh? It's going to be with me a LONG time!

Luv the tatoo Ali....If I were younger, I'd get that butterfly I always wanted...(after my divorce I was considering one on my hip to signify my freedom) but chickened out!
